But, have you ever wondered what the salad days looks like from Jake's perspective? Well, if so, today is your lucky day. Here's a look at the iphone photos he sends me when he's off on adventures (or "little wanders" as Maren calls them) with our girl.
Some days, they go to the grocery store or down to the Lock to "fish" in the water with sticks. Some days they just say home and pretend they are Mrs. Frisby by putting on their "capes and sparklies". And on one very lucky night, they stayed up late to go on a group nature walk to find bats and newts.

And, remember my day trip to Bath? Well, don't think for a minute that these two just stayed at home waiting for me! Nope. They caught a ride out to Blenheim Palace to watch a festival of knights jousting and then went to a nearby farm to pet baby lambs. How cool is that? And, they ended that wonderful day as they have so many others - by looking at "gentlemen swans" and heading to the pub for some chocolate cake.
I love that Jake takes Maren to do so many fun things. I love that he sends me so many photos of their time together. And...well, mostly I just love him. Sometimes, I'm not quite sure who is the luckier lady, me or Maren. But, I'm happy to spend a lifetime trying to figure it out.
